Confirmed by the official portal
These facilities are described on the HR&CE portal for the temple, which we checked on 2 October 2026.
Accommodation: Devotees Stay Home
The temple runs a Devotees Stay Home. The portal states that there is no online booking for it, and that booking has been temporarily stopped from 25 June 2026 because of ongoing renovation work. For information, it gives the number +91 94864 82246. Private hotels and guest houses are available in Srirangam and Tiruchirappalli; see where to stay.
Annadhanam
The portal lists annadhanam (free food for devotees) among the temple's services, and its description of the fifth prakaram includes an Annadana Kudam (annadhanam hall). Devotees who wish to contribute can do so through the donation options on the official portal.
Footwear storage and cloak room
According to the HR&CE description of the sixth prakaram (Uthira Street), a footwear storage room and a cloak room for devotees are on the west side of the Nanmukhan Gopuram. Note which gate you used: the complex is large and it is easy to leave by a different one.
Donations
The official portal offers online donation and a quick donation QR option. Donate only through the portal, the temple office or the hundis inside the temple, and ask for an official receipt. srirangamtemple.net does not collect donations of any kind.
Beware of fraud. Fake websites and social media pages sometimes claim to take donations or sell darshan tickets for well-known temples. Use only the official HR&CE portal.

Ask about these on arrival
The following are common needs for visitors, but we have not yet confirmed current arrangements at Srirangam from an official source. Ask at the temple office or entrance.
- Accessibility: whether wheelchairs, battery vehicles or separate queue arrangements are available for elderly and differently abled devotees on the day of your visit.
- Drinking water and toilets: the nearest points to the area you are visiting.
- Prasadam counters: current locations, items and timings.
- Parking: where to park, especially on festival days when traffic in the temple streets may be restricted.
- First aid: where help is available inside the complex.
In an emergency anywhere in India, dial 112.
What to expect on foot
The temple covers about 156 acres within seven enclosures, so a visit involves a lot of walking, mostly barefoot inside the inner enclosures. Plan rest stops for elderly family members and children, and carry water. Our suggested route helps you plan the walk, and the timings page shows when the sanctum is closed.
